Stained Glass Windows of Bromsgrove and Redditch

Stained Glass Windows of Bromsgrove and Redditch is a survey of the windows in forty-two churches and chapels. It begins with a brief history of the development of stained glass followed by the processes involved for their creation, installation and dedication.

The author then writes in detail about some of the windows in each building, giving special attention to local makers such as A. J. Davies, and A. E. and P. E. Lemmon.

All of the windows in the churches survey – over 250 – are included in a gazetteer. In the appendices are details of the makers and designers of the windows, some of their marks, the subjects depicted and lists of the individuals commemorated. The book has twenty-five colour illustrations and a bibliography.
